Ironpad Privacy Policy

This policy applies to both versions of Ironpad — for iPhone and for Android. The apps work the same way, but the copy of your data is made by a different system on each platform, so where they differ the paragraph is labelled.

In short

Ironpad collects no data about you. The app has no server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking libraries.

What you enter

Workouts and programs, meals with calories and grams, weight and measurements, app settings. This is all the data the app works with, and you enter it yourself.

Where it is stored

iPhone

On your phone. If iCloud is enabled in the phone’s settings, a copy is kept in your personal iCloud storage under your Apple Account. The developer has no access to it: the app has no server of its own, no accounts and no password sign-in.

Android

On your phone. If Google backup is enabled in the phone’s settings, a copy is kept in your Google Account. The developer has no access to it: the app has no server of its own, no accounts and no password sign-in.

Sharing with others

iPhone

The data is not shared with anyone and is not sold. The app contacts no network services other than iCloud, and the exchange with iCloud is performed by the operating system itself.

Android

The data is not shared with anyone and is not sold. The app contacts no network services: the copy is placed in your Google Account by the operating system itself, and the app takes no part in it.

Tracking

iPhone

The app does not track what you do, shows no advertising and asks for no tracking permission. Apple may send the developer anonymous crash reports if you allowed that in the phone’s settings — that is Apple’s own mechanism, and diary data never goes into it.

Android

The app does not track what you do, shows no advertising and does not read the phone’s advertising ID — the number advertising networks recognise people by. Google shows the developer anonymous crash reports if you allowed sending usage and diagnostics data in the phone’s settings — that is Google Play’s own mechanism, and diary data never goes into it.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, children included.

Deleting your data

iPhone

Delete the app and the data on the phone goes with it. The iCloud copy is removed in the phone’s settings: your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Ironpad.

Android

Delete the app and the data on the phone goes with it. The copy in your Google Account is removed where it is switched on: in the phone’s settings, find “Backup” — depending on the phone that item sits under “Google”, “System” or “Accounts and backup”. Turn backup off and the copy already made is deleted. It is also deleted on its own if the phone is not used for about two months.
